2010 Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival (July 14-25, 2010)

Dunno if some of you heard about "The Fringe". I just heard about it and just checked it out just now. It looks interesting. Basically, a bunch of performers that will perform at the Forks from July 14-25, 2010. I was looking around the site and I see they're looking for performers. Then an idea struck me - WPK. Yes, Winnipeg Parkour. I was thinking that we could do a performance there. It'd be a good way to promote a parkour community in Winnipeg.

I looked around to see what kind of performers we could apply as. I would say "Outdoor Performer" would be our choice mainly because they won't charge application fees for "Outdoor Performers". If we want to perform indoors, they'd charge us $650 for an application fee.

Oddly enough we actually had a jam during the Fringe Festival last year and was checking out the possibility of performing.

Only thing limiting us from applying is getting enough equipment in time.

Heh, I thought about that jam when I saw this as well. Unless we made it a "tricking" show or something, yeah I can see us getting any equipment.

My family and I usually perform in the fringe. We do shows my mom writes and I busk with devil sticks. Sorry, that was off topic. But yes, I think Winnipeg Parkour could do an interesting Circtisole (I don't have a clue how to spell that) kind of show.

Oh, BTW, I just realize WPK thinks parkour isn't a word.

We don't think Parkour is a word? Yet it's the second half of our communities name.

Sorry, that's not what I mean. Whenever you type in parkour on the website it has a red line under it like it does in word when you spell something wrong. Sorry for confusion.

Speaking of spell check, you guys may be interested in installing the Canadian dictionary for Firefox. It'll stop trying to change your writing to American style.
