June Update

Its been a while without an update. Here has been a bit that has been going on.
We are back from Toronto (most of you know) and it was a great trip! All the people out there rock and we learned a lot. A short video will be compiled and put on the site for everyone to see soon.

A new section in the forums has been opened up called “Training blogs”. This is an effort to get more of us in to conditioning and more training. You can set up a blog to let people read what you have done to improve yourself day by day. Go start your own blog here.

And lastly I’m proud to announce that Winnipeg Parkour will be at Small Scholars for another day of parkour lessons! Last year was a great time and there was fun all around. We hope this year to be even better then the last! More updates to come.

We’ve arrived safely in Toronto.
We are all extremely looking forward to the week ahead of us, and we would all like to thank Tyler’s Guardians (David and Maggie) for there extended hospitality.

Myself, Vince, Arc, Zeddy, and Hawk are leaving to the air port tommorow to go meet up with the boys in Toronto! We will be staying there for 9 days! It should be awesome times. This time we WILL make our trip.

No Gym Next Week

Gym will be canceled on April 15th and 18th due to exams being held at the U of M. Normal gym schedule will resume afterwords. Make sure to spread the word.

Urbanfreeflow is calling for some freerunners from around the world, any freerunners in winnipeg should give it a try.
”Callout For Athletes
For an up and coming major event in London this year, we currently want to factor in the best Freerun athletes from these following countries - Canada, Brazil, Japan, Mexico and South Africa, to add to an already existing pool of international talent. Interested parties should please forward an all-action showreel of no longer than 1 minute in length and include a short spoken introduction detailing name, age and experience. Please email to WFC@urbanfreeflow.com for the attention of Suzanne. Travel documents must be up to date. Please also note that due to insurance restrictions, all applicants must be aged 17 years or over.”
Gym Session Update

There will be no Gym Session this Friday. It’s been temporarily moved to Thursday, Febuary 21st (8:30-10:00) pm.
After Thursday, Gym Sessions will be back on it’s regular schedule of Tuesdays and Fridays.

Again, we’d would like to personally thank Anita for creating such an amazing book, and giving us the opportunity to be featured in one of the first Parkour themed novels.
In other news, it seems that Anita Daher has yet again set a new trend, as more and more Parkour themed books & novels are being written. Recently, “Jump Derry”, another novel that features Parkour, was written Christine Donovan, and is currently being reviewed for publication.
